What is CVE-2026-104641?

The Simple Shopping Cart plugin for WordPress, prior to version 5.3.3, lacks essential verification of PayPal payment notifications. This oversight allows unauthenticated users to mark their fraudulent orders as paid by exploiting the system's default settings, which do not validate that payments are received by the legitimate site owner's PayPal account. As a result, this vulnerability exposes the site to potential financial losses and undermines the integrity of online transactions.

Affected Version(s)

Simple Shopping Cart 0 < 5.3.3
