What is CVE-2026-105262?

The Falang Multilanguage Plugin for WordPress prior to version 1.4.6 lacks proper capability verification during the process of saving term translations. This oversight allows any logged-in user, including those with Subscriber-level permissions, to store data that can be rendered without suitable escaping. Consequently, this can lead to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, where malicious scripts execute in the browser context of higher-privileged users, such as administrators, potentially compromising the integrity of the website.

Affected Version(s)

Falang multilanguage for WordPress 0 < 1.4.6

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
