What is CVE-2026-1053?

The Ivory Search – WordPress Search Plugin is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the admin settings. This flaw affects all versions up to and including 5.5.13. Authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions can exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious web scripts into pages, which execute when users visit the compromised pages. This issue primarily impacts multi-site installations and those where the unfiltered_html feature has been disabled.
