What is CVE-2026-106097?

The Code Snippets plugin for WordPress, prior to version 3.10.0, contains a SQL Injection vulnerability due to improper sanitization and escaping of user-supplied parameters in certain snippet-migration import endpoints. This flaw is particularly concerning for environments utilizing WordPress Multisite, as it allows subsite Administrators—who do not possess full network Super Admin privileges—to exploit shared network tables through UNION-based SQL injection. Consequently, this could expose sensitive network-wide data, including other users' password hashes, significantly compromising the security of the entire network.

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
