What is CVE-2026-110004?

The wpForo Forum plugin for WordPress contains a security flaw that allows authenticated users, including those with subscriber-level access, to delete arbitrary files from the server due to poor validation of file paths in the theme_delete function. This vulnerability particularly affects setups with a custom wpForo secondary usergroup lacking a defined WordPress role and with assigned theme-management capabilities. An attacker can leverage this weakness by self-registering and claiming the unsecured group, leading to potential remote code execution if crucial files like wp-config.php are deleted.
