What is CVE-2026-111927?

The Coder platform has a vulnerability related to improper hostname validation in its GetWorkspaceProxyByHostname API. This flaw allows malicious actors to exploit a prefix matching pattern, where any domain that matches the beginning of a workspace proxy access URL is inaccurately trusted. As a result, attackers can deceive authenticated users into clicking on a crafted application redirect link, leading to the interception of sensitive API keys. Once captured, these keys can be misused to gain unauthorized access to users' workspace applications, posing a significant security risk.
