Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in WP Job Portal Plugin by WordPress
CVE-2026-116546

6.4MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-116546?

The WP Job Portal plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping processes in the 'degreetitle' parameter. This vulnerability impacts all versions up to and including 2.7.0. Authenticated users with subscriber-level access can exploit this weakness to inject arbitrary web scripts. This poses a significant risk as the plugin's self-registration feature allows any visitor to create a Subscriber-backed Employer account, effectively granting potential attackers the means to manipulate pages that execute the injected scripts whenever accessed by users.

Affected Version(s)

WP Job Portal – AI-Powered Recruitment System for Company or Job Board website 0 <= 2.7.0
