What is CVE-2026-11855?

The Simple Membership WordPress plugin prior to version 4.7.5 is susceptible to a web script injection vulnerability due to insufficient verification of Stripe webhook requests when no signing secret is configured. Additionally, the plugin fails to properly escape values retrieved from these requests before displaying them in an administrator notice. This oversight could allow unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts that would execute in the context of a logged-in administrator, potentially compromising site integrity and security.

Affected Version(s)

Simple Membership 0 < 4.7.5

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
