Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in ThirstyAffiliates Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-119089

7.2HIGH

What is CVE-2026-119089?

The ThirstyAffiliates plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability through the 'comment' parameter in all versions up to and including 3.12.1. This flaw arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, enabling unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability on block themes (like Twenty Twenty-Five) where the Comment Content block allows comment HTML to flow through render_block, activating the plugin's transformer. A successful exploitation requires prior approval of a comment by the attacker, leading to the automatic approval and public rendering of subsequent crafted comments.
