What is CVE-2026-119162?
The User Submitted Posts plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a stored DOM-based cross-site scripting vulnerability due to inadequate sanitization of user input and insufficient output escaping in the 'user-submitted-content' parameter. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts into web pages. Although submitted posts typically require admin approval and are held in a Pending state, activating the plugin's 'publish immediately' feature bypasses this moderation step, allowing injected scripts to execute immediately when a user accesses the affected page.
