What is CVE-2026-120534?

The Advanced Custom Fields: Extended PRO plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit limited code injection due to inadequate validation of form configuration parameters. This occurs within the render_field function, where parameters are merged into field settings and passed to call_user_func_array without proper checks. Attackers can execute arbitrary WordPress functions by controlling function arguments. This risk is heightened when the 'shortcode_preview' setting is enabled or when server environments lack OpenSSL support, leading to unverified base64 decoding through ACF Pro's acf_decrypt method.

Affected Version(s)

Advanced Custom Fields: Extended PRO 0 <= 0.9.2.6
