What is CVE-2026-120550?
The WP User Manager plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability through the 'name' parameter of the REST users endpoint. Due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in versions up to 2.10.2, authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access can execute arbitrary scripts in user-facing pages. This exploitation is achieved by storing malicious payloads via the WordPress REST endpoint POST /wp-json/wp/v2/users/me, which circumvents existing sanitization measures, rendering front-end protections ineffective.
Affected Version(s)
WP User Manager β Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile Builder & Member Directory 0 <= 2.10.2
