What is CVE-2026-120552?

The Smart SEO with AI, Schema & Redirection plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the 'title' parameter. This vulnerability is present in all versions up to and including 0.9.9. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw by injecting arbitrary web scripts that execute when users access those pages. Despite WordPress core's wp_filter_kses function stripping literal tag markup, the filtering process does not neutralize HTML-entity-encoded XSS payloads stored via the WordPress REST API, leaving the site at risk.
