Sensitive Information Exposure in Elementor Website Builder for WordPress
CVE-2026-1206

4.3MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-1206?

The Elementor Website Builder plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that enables authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access or higher, to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information. This occurs due to a logic error in the permission check within the is_allowed_to_read_template() function, allowing non-published templates to be read without proper verification of edit capabilities. As a result, attackers can read private or draft template content through the 'template_id' in the 'get_template_data' action of the 'elementor_ajax' endpoint, potentially exposing sensitive information to unauthorized users.

Affected Version(s)
