What is CVE-2026-1217?

The Yoast Duplicate Post plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with Contributor-level access and above to modify and duplicate posts without proper permissions. Specifically, a missing capability check on the clone_bulk_action_handler() and republish_request() functions permits these users to duplicate any post on the site, including private, draft, and trashed posts. Additionally, attackers with Author-level access can overwrite published posts with their content using the Rewrite & Republish feature, posing a significant risk to the integrity of site content.
