Authorization Bypass in BlockSpare Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-1242

4.3MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-1242?

The BlockSpare plugin for WordPress has a significant authorization bypass vulnerability due to a coding error in the permission callback logic. This issue, present in all versions up to and including 4.2.6, arises from the improper use of an AND operator in place of an OR operator. As a result, authenticated users with Subscriber-level access or higher can manipulate the authorization checks, allowing them to create arbitrary posts and potentially compromise the integrity of the website.
