What is CVE-2026-12483?

The LearnDash LMS plugin for WordPress is susceptible to an Unrestricted File Type Upload vulnerability. This flaw, present in versions up to and including 5.1.5, arises from inadequate input validation in the 'learndash_fileupload_process' function. The function inadequately checks the file types, only validating the first file in a series of uploads. This oversights allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher, enrolled in courses with assignment upload features enabled, to upload unauthorized file types—including PHP files—directly to the server's wp-content/uploads/learndash/assignments/ directory. If the server configuration permits, such files could potentially be exploited for Remote Code Execution.

Affected Version(s)
