What is CVE-2026-12688?

The ProfileGrid WordPress plugin prior to version 5.9.9.7 is susceptible to an improper input validation vulnerability. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit the plugin's handling of PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) messages. By forging a valid PayPal notification, an attacker can manipulate user group memberships, granting unauthorized access to paid memberships without the need for legitimate payment.
