What is CVE-2026-1279?

The Employee Directory plugin for WordPress allows authenticated users with Contributor-level access and above to exploit a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability through the 'form_title' parameter in the search_employee_directory shortcode. This flaw arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. Attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when users access the compromised pages, potentially leading to further attacks or data breaches.
