What is CVE-2026-12907?

The RTMKit WordPress plugin prior to version 2.0.9 suffers from an authorization bypass vulnerability that permits users with Author role privileges to invoke a specific AJAX action. This flaw enables unauthorized users to create and activate site-wide templates, allowing them to modify critical global elements like the header and footer, typically reserved for administrators. Such actions can significantly disrupt the user experience and jeopardize the integrity of the website.
