Directory Traversal Vulnerability in Gravity Forms Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-12997
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2026-12997?
The Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a directory traversal vulnerability due to improper input validation in the 'gform_uploaded_files' parameter. This flaw permits unauthenticated users to access server files that may contain sensitive information. For exploitation to occur, the targeted form must be publicly accessible without login requirements. Attackers can access the process_send_resume_link endpoint to input an arbitrary recipient email address, triggering the server to send the contents of the retrieved file as a notification attachment.
