Arbitrary File Deletion in UsersWP Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-13492

8.8HIGH

What is CVE-2026-13492?

The UsersWP plugin for WordPress suffers from a vulnerability that permits authenticated users, with at least Subscriber privileges, to delete arbitrary files from the server. This flaw arises from inadequate validation of file-field values within the validation functions, allowing attackers to manipulate deletion paths. Specifically, the AJAX handler fails to properly sanitize and validate the file from user input, enabling potential deletion of critical files, such as wp-config. Users should urgently apply the latest security patches to mitigate risks associated with this vulnerability.
