CVE-2026-1389

5.3MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-1389?

The Document Embedder plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Insecure Direct Object Reference, allowing authenticated users with Author-level access or higher to manipulate Document Library entries belonging to other users. This vulnerability stems from the lack of permission checks within critical AJAX actions ('bplde_save_document_library', 'bplde_get_single', and 'bplde_delete_document_library'). Attackers can exploit this flaw to view, modify, or remove documents that they do not own, potentially compromising the privacy and integrity of sensitive information hosted within the application.
