Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in FileBird for WordPress
CVE-2026-15004

5.4MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-15004?

The FileBird plugin for WordPress is susceptible to stored cross-site scripting vulnerabilities, allowing authenticated users with Author-level access and above to successfully exploit the plugin by injecting malicious scripts through the image alt text. This weakness arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in versions up to and including 6.5.6. Consequently, when users access tailored pages containing these scripts, their sessions could be hijacked, and sensitive data could be compromised.

Affected Version(s)

FileBird – WordPress Media Library Folders & File Manager 0 <= 6.5.6
