What is CVE-2026-15150?
The myCred plugin for WordPress prior to version 3.2.5 contains a security flaw that allows attackers to manipulate the in-site currency system. Specifically, the plugin fails to validate whether the payment notification received corresponds to a legitimate merchant account configured by the site owner. This oversight creates a scenario where malicious actors can exploit the payment processing system to credit arbitrary amounts of currency to any account, effectively misappropriating funds without authorization by controlling the payment gateway. Site administrators should update to version 3.2.5 or later to mitigate this critical security risk.
Affected Version(s)
myCred 0 < 3.2.5
Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
