What is CVE-2026-1570?

The Simple Bible Verse via Shortcode plugin for WordPress exposes a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher to perform stored cross-site scripting (XSS). This issue arises from inadequate input validation and output escaping on the attributes provided to the plugin's verse shortcode. As a result, attackers can inject malicious scripts which execute whenever a user visits the affected pages, creating serious security risks for site users.
