What is CVE-2026-16087?
The Icegram Engage plugin for WordPress contains a second-order SQL injection vulnerability due to inadequate escaping of user-supplied parameters. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with contributor access and above to insert additional SQL queries into existing ones. The exploit is facilitated through the 'messages[][id]' parameter, where a malicious value is first stored in post meta via AJAX and executed in a later request without proper sanitization or preparation, potentially leading to unauthorized database access and sensitive data exposure.
