What is CVE-2026-16263?

The WP Maps plugin for WordPress prior to version 4.9.7 is vulnerable due to a lack of capability checks in its AJAX actions. This flaw enables users with Subscriber-level permissions to exploit the plugin's functionality, allowing them to include and execute arbitrary PHP files from the server's local file system. The insufficient validation of user-controlled paths significantly raises the risk of unauthorized access and execution of malicious code, posing a potential threat to the integrity of the WordPress installation.
