What is CVE-2026-16273?

The Narrative Publisher plugin for WordPress, up to version 1.0.7, has a security flaw that lacks proper restrictions on write access to a REST-exposed post meta field. This oversight permits users with contributor-level permissions or higher to inject JavaScript code into posts. When these posts are accessed by users with higher privileges, the malicious script executes in their browsers, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or data exposure.

Affected Version(s)

Narrative Publisher 0 <= 1.0.7

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
