The Peter's Date Countdown plugin for WordPress exposes a critical vulnerability due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. Attackers can exploit the $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] parameter to inject malicious scripts that execute on the client's browser when they interact with compromised pages.
