What is CVE-2026-16619?

The miniOrange 2FA WordPress plugin versions prior to 6.2.8 contain a flaw that permits unlimited second-factor verification attempts. The plugin tracks these attempts using a client-supplied identifier, which is changed on every login. This design oversight allows an attacker who is aware of a user's primary credentials to continually guess the one-time authentication code, potentially leading to unauthorized access and account takeover. Users are urged to upgrade to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
