Stored Cross-Site Scripting in Avada Builder Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-16654
6.4MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-16654?
The Avada (Fusion) Builder plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability. This issue arises from improper input sanitization and output escaping concerning the 'size' shortcode attribute. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw to insert arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute when a user views the affected pages. Notably, the WordPress wp_kses_post filter fails to mitigate this risk, as the malicious content exists entirely within a shortcode attribute, which does not contain HTML angle brackets, allowing it to bypass security checks when saved.
Affected Version(s)
Avada (Fusion) Builder 0 <= 3.15.6
