What is CVE-2026-1666?

The Download Manager plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This occurs through the 'redirect_to' parameter within the login form shortcode in all versions up to and including 3.3.46. The flaw results from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to craft malicious scripts. If a user is tricked into clicking a compromised link, the attacker's script could execute in the context of the victim's session, leading to potential data leakage or session hijacking.
