What is CVE-2026-16773?

The WPBot plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a sensitive information exposure vulnerability that affects all versions up to and including 8.5.9. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit the wpbot_send_email_transcript_free functionality. Consequently, attackers may exfiltrate full chat transcripts and sensitive personal data, such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers, stored in the wpbot_user and wpbot_conversation database tables. The stolen information can be sent to an email address controlled by the attacker, putting users' privacy at significant risk.
