What is CVE-2026-16974?

The Kirki Page Builder plugin for WordPress is affected by a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to exploit the post_meta Shortcode. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, enabling the injection of arbitrary web scripts into pages. Such scripts execute when users access the compromised pages, potentially leading to serious security breaches.
