The File Manager plugin for WordPress, prior to version 6.9.1, lacks proper authorization checks on specific REST API routes. This oversight allows unauthorized individuals to access sensitive file activity logs. These logs detail file operations executed on the site, including the paths of the files involved and the usernames associated with these actions. As a result, potential attackers may gain insights into file management activities, significantly increasing the risk of future attacks.
