Arbitrary File Upload Vulnerability in MapSVG Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-1771

7.2HIGH

What is CVE-2026-1771?

The MapSVG plugin for WordPress is susceptible to an arbitrary file upload vulnerability due to a lack of adequate file type validation within its SVGFile constructor. All versions up to 8.14.0 are affected by this issue, which arises from an incorrect conditional check that bypasses necessary file validations. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with Administrator-level access or higher to upload arbitrary files onto the server hosting the affected site, potentially enabling remote code execution.

Affected Version(s)

MapSVG – Vector maps, Image maps, Google Maps 0 <= 8.14.0
