What is CVE-2026-18488?

The Blocksy Companion plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting all versions up to and including 2.1.51. This occurs due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping related to the 'tagName' Block Attribute (blocksy/dynamic-data). Authenticated attackers with author-level access can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary scripts into affected pages, which will execute when users access those pages, potentially compromising user security.
