Stored Cross-Site Scripting in Slideshow WP Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-1885
6.4MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-1885?
The Slideshow WP plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with contributor-level access and above to exploit stored cross-site scripting. This issue arises from inadequate sanitization of input and insufficient output escaping on user-supplied attributes, particularly the 'sswpid' attribute within the 'sswp-slide' shortcode. As a result, attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts that execute whenever a user accesses a compromised page.
