Unauthorized Data Modification Vulnerability in Blog2Social Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-1942

6.5MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-1942?

The Blog2Social plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows authenticated users to overwrite the content of any post or page due to a lack of adequate permission checks in its AJAX handling. Specifically, the curationDraft() function fails to confirm that the user has the required 'edit_post' capability, only verifying that they can 'read'. This oversight, combined with the plugin's design that exposes UI access and nonce validation to all user roles, enables users with Subscriber-level access or higher to manipulate post titles and content by providing a target post ID in the 'b2s-draft-id' parameter.
