What is CVE-2026-20485?

An out of bounds write vulnerability exists in MediaTek's HFRP due to a lack of proper bounds checking. This flaw can allow a malicious actor, who has already gained system privileges, to escalate their privileges further without the need for user interaction. To mitigate the risk, it is recommended to apply the security patch identified as ALPS11049569.
