What is CVE-2026-20904?

Gitea has a flaw in its access control mechanisms, which allows authenticated users to change the visibility settings of other users' OpenID identities. This lack of proper validation when toggling OpenID URI visibility poses a security risk, enabling unauthorized manipulation of identity settings. To mitigate this issue, users are advised to upgrade to the latest version of Gitea, where the vulnerability has been addressed.
