What is CVE-2026-2300?

The BJ Lazy Load plugin for WordPress has a vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. This occurs through the filter_images() function, which improperly processes HTML attributes due to the use of regex-based HTML processing (preg_replace). As a result, attackers with Contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts into pages. These injected scripts will execute whenever a user visits the affected page, posing a significant security risk.
