Unauthorized Message Deletion in ProfileGrid Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-2488

4.3MEDIUM

What is CVE-2026-2488?

The ProfileGrid – User Profiles, Groups and Communities plugin for WordPress is impacted by a vulnerability that allows authenticated users to delete messages they do not own. This occurs due to an insufficient capability check in the pg_delete_msg() function, which does not verify the permissions of the requesting user. Attackers with Subscriber-level access and above can exploit this flaw, leading to potential unauthorized message deletion across the platform. Proper permissions validation must be implemented to mitigate this risk.
