Purchase Verification Bypass in Otter Blocks Plugin for WordPress
CVE-2026-2892

7.5HIGH

What is CVE-2026-2892?

The Otter Blocks plugin for WordPress is susceptible to a Purchase Verification Bypass vulnerability found in all versions up to and including 3.1.4. The vulnerability arises from the 'get_customer_data' method's reliance on an unsigned 'o_stripe_data' cookie for verifying Stripe product ownership for unauthenticated users. The 'check_purchase' method trusts this cookie data, neglecting to perform necessary server-side validation against the Stripe API, particularly in one-time 'payment' mode transactions. This oversight allows unauthenticated attackers to circumvent Stripe's purchase-gated content restrictions by manipulating the 'o_stripe_data' cookie to contain a target product ID, which is accessible in the checkout block's HTML.

Affected Version(s)

Otter Blocks – Gutenberg Blocks, Page Builder for Gutenberg Editor & FSE 0 <= 3.1.4
