What is CVE-2026-2924?

The Gutenverse plugin for WordPress, specifically in versions up to and including 3.4.6, suffers from a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability through the 'imageLoad' parameter. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping processes. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access can exploit this weakness to inject arbitrary scripts into WordPress pages. These malicious scripts execute whenever a user visits the compromised page, potentially compromising user data and site integrity.
