What is CVE-2026-33290?

WPGraphQL prior to version 2.10.0 contains an authorization flaw that permits authenticated users, including those with low privileges or no capabilities, to change the moderation status of their own comments. This issue allows users to self-approve comments, circumventing established moderation processes. Deployments utilizing the comment mutation functionality of WPGraphQL are susceptible, enabling untrusted users to manipulate content approval without proper authority.
