What is CVE-2026-3601?

The User Registration & Membership plugin for WordPress contains a vulnerability that allows authenticated users with Contributor-level access and above to modify data without permission due to inadequate capability checks in the embed_form_action() function. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 5.1.4. As a result, attackers can append shortcode content to pages they do not own, potentially compromising the integrity of the site.
