What is CVE-2026-3639?
The PPWP (Password Protect Pages) plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient sanitization and escaping of user-supplied attributes in the ppwp shortcode. This vulnerability allows authenticated users with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary scripts into WordPress pages. Consequently, whenever users access these compromised pages, the injected scripts can execute, leading to potential misuse of the web application.
