What is CVE-2026-3852?

The Divi theme for WordPress suffers from a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability via the skype_url shortcode in the Social Media Follow module. This vulnerability arises from a lack of proper sanitization, allowing authenticated users with Contributor-level permissions or higher to inject malicious scripts. Due to improper handling of the skype_url field, a series of coding errors lead to the unsanitized use of user inputs in a single-quoted href attribute, permitting attackers to execute malicious scripts executed upon user actions. This flaw highlights significant security gaps within the theme's processing of social media URLs.
